I now own several heavy clubs - 17, 22, 26, 30, and 44 pounds. I use all of them for different movements during my exercise sessions.
I bought my first heavy club about 3 months ago as an experiment to see what kind of results I got. The results were great and I soon ordered more.
Having several weights of clubs allows me to do variable load and vary my workout, essential for avoiding plateaus and exposing the body to variety.
I even use the heavier ones for rucking, carrying on one shoulder.
I am 61, and been exercising many years. I did standard bench press and squats with Olympic weights for decades, and in the last 3 years went to kettlebells. Once I used a heavy clubs I wished I had known of these in my 20s. I could have saved myself a lot of trouble, I could have never needed a gym, and I could have had heavy clubs when I was on ships in Alaska.
Heavy clubs should be promoted for everyone, especially people that are mobile, such as truckers or deckhands on ships.
